BYU basketball in the basement

So, as we all know, the BYU basketball team is having a great year. They have the best player in college basketball on their team, and they have so far gone further in the tournament than they have in 30 years. This was a great year to have inherited a projector in the basement.

So the madness started early in the season when BYU went to UNLV, and they game was being shown on CBSC. CBSC is an obscure channel that no one gets, so I sent out an email on the ward email list inviting people over to watch the game that didn't have the channel. One thing led to another, and pretty soon every away game I was inviting the ward over to watch the game at my house.

Things really got out of hand when BYU and SDSU played in the MWC championship. I probably had 25 people in the basement all cheering. But things really came to a head last Saturday during the Gonzaga game, when I counted around 27 people in the basement, all freaking out during the game. There were even a few people that came that literally couldn't find anywhere to sit, so they decided to abort. It was awesome to watch the game with that many people.

And it helps when Jimmer is life size on the wall, projected in front of you.
