Remodeling

This week I got my first taste of remodeling a house. It was a lot cooler than I thought it would be.

This came about because the family recently acquired my Uncle's house. It is somewhat of an old house and we thought it would be great to remodel the bathrooms, redo some of the walls, do new carpet, and make some adjustments in the kitchen.

We started by ripping out the carpet and hauling it to the dump. We then made many more trips to the dump after we cleaned out the backyard, ripped off some of the walls, and demolished one of the bathrooms. Granted, this was a day of demolition which any dude would enjoy, but it is cathartic to tear down something with plans to rebuild it more awesome. Its kind of like mowing the lawn. You get the satisfaction of your yard looking better.

So I'm pumped about remodeling this house.
